Customer Care

Delivery & Returns

Everything you need to know about receiving your fabric and what to do if something isn't right.

Delivery

All House of Harlequin fabrics are cut to order in our Cotswolds studio. Please allow time for your order to be prepared with care before it is dispatched.

Lead Time

Our standard dispatch time is 10–14 working days from the date of your order confirmation. During busy periods or for bespoke commissions, lead times may be slightly longer — we will always let you know.

Shipping Cost

A flat-rate delivery charge of £15 applies to all UK orders, regardless of quantity. This covers tracked, insured courier delivery to your door.

Dispatch Notification

You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been dispatched, including tracking information so you can follow its journey.

International Orders

We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. If you are based outside the UK and would like to place an order, please contact us at hello@houseofharlequin.co.uk to discuss options.

Inspecting Your Fabric

Because all our fabrics are cut to order, we ask every customer to inspect their fabric carefully before cutting. This is an important step — please read it before you begin.

Please inspect the full length of your fabric and verify the meterage before cutting. Once cut, no return or refund can be offered.

On receipt of your order, please unroll the full length of fabric and check it carefully for any weave irregularities, colour inconsistencies, or discrepancies in meterage before cutting begins.

This applies whether you are cutting the fabric yourself or passing it to a third party such as an upholsterer, seamstress, or curtain maker. Once the fabric has been cut, we are unable to accept a return or offer a refund under any circumstances — including where a fault is subsequently identified.

If you identify a fault or shortfall prior to cutting, please contact us immediately at hello@houseofharlequin.co.uk with your order number and photographs of the issue. We will respond promptly.

Returns & Faulty Goods

Because all fabrics are cut to order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

Faulty Fabric (Uncut)

If you believe your fabric is faulty and it has not been cut, please contact us within 14 days of receipt at hello@houseofharlequin.co.uk with your order number and clear photographs of the fault. Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer a replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion.

Cut Fabric

Once fabric has been cut, we are unable to accept a return or offer a refund regardless of the nature of any fault discovered after cutting. We strongly advise thorough inspection before any cutting takes place — please see the section above.

Samples

Fabric samples (20 cm lengths) are non-refundable. We recommend ordering a sample before committing to a larger quantity, particularly if you are matching to an existing scheme.

Your Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
